Vintage Hawaii Maps

I have always had a love for geography. My thought has always been, “If you want to get to know the world better, look at a globe.”

One of my favorite books, growing up, was “The Illustrated Atlas of Hawaii.” I was a great introduction, to Hawaii, for children but most importantly…it was the splendid maps of the islands!

I found some old survey maps at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Though these maps are over a century in age, the accuracy of these maps shows the talents and attention to detail of these early surveyors.
